Matt MARTZ

President & Founder

Matt Martz, Founder and President of Street Smartz Consulting, has spent the last decade creating award and election winning direct mail for Democratic candidates and caucuses. Most recently, Matt flipped a Republican-held seat in Florida by helping Senate Democrats win their first special election ever and electing Sen. Annette Taddeo.

He helped flip two state legislative chambers to Democrats and defeated Republican incumbents in eight states. His past clients include the Colorado Democratic House Caucus, Indiana Democratic House Caucus, Louisiana Democratic House Caucus, Missouri Democratic House Caucus, North Carolina Democratic Senate Caucus, DLCC-Led IE Campaign for West Virginia Democratic House Caucus and the Virginia Democratic Assembly Caucus.

In addition to his caucus work, Matt was proud to have helped elect Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards in 2015 as well as electing progressive leaders in his home state. In Florida, Matt is proud to have helped elect Sen. Annette Taddeo, Sen. Jeff Clemens, Rep. Sean Shaw, Rep. Reggie Fullwood, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Alachua County Commissioner Lee Pinkoson, Hernando County Commissioner Diane Rowden, Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner, Pinellas County Commissioner Pat Gerard, Gainesville City Councilman Adrian Hayes Santos, St Petersburg City Councilwoman Lisa Wheeler Brown and Sarasota City Councilwoman Jen Ahearn-Koch.

Becky MARTZ

Head Writer & Founder

Rebecca Martz, Founder and Head Writer, brings her creative concepts and comedic flair to write mail that stands out. She learned how to best amplify the voice of causes she is passionate about through her decade of experience in advertising and public relations for government, non-profit, and campaign organizations.

Rebecca has spent her political career working on the campaign of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer; writing and producing mail for Democratic candidates and caucuses around the country; and fighting directly for progressive ideals like women’s reproductive justice and environmental protection. Outside of politics, she worked for Visit Jacksonville's marketing department to promote the city and its local businesses to travelers around the world.

She developed her knack for writing punchy headlines and mail that makes people laugh by performing stand-up and sketch comedy for the last 10 years.

When not writing memorable mail for Democrats around the country, Rebecca spends her time volunteering at the Jacksonville Humane Society. She is almost always talking about or taking pictures of dogs. This probably explains why she and Matt have three at home (and possibly more soon, but don’t tell Matt).
